So how hard is it to use peel and sticks. Here are some helpful hints:

Thoroughly clean wall and make sure it is dried out. For recentlypainted walls let paint "thouroughly dry" for 10 to 15 days before to applying decals. Even if new paint feels dry, it may still need to settle and totallycure. Peel and Stick Wall Decals are not advised on "Orange Peel" textured walls, over cinder blocks, very uneven and permeable surfaces, wallpaper or fragile surfaces. Wall stickers are OK to use on tile provided that the surface is thoroughly clean and absolutelydry during application. Make sure the design element does not cover grout area as water couldleak under and damage the adhesive. Apply onto shower walls, given that they are positionedsnugly onto the surface so watercan'tget under the design element. Once applied, RoomMates will notshift even if sprayed by shower.


Vinyl wall decals should not be placed in a dishwater or microwave and they shouldn't be positioned on rugs, fabrics and any other textiles. Textile fibers may cling to the adhesive and ruin the merchandise. Also, do notput at the base or inside the tub. Water could seepunderneath the peel and stick too easily and would damage the adhesive. When putting on, make sure you get started from one side (for the border) or the top (for the appliques) of each element. Keep the other parts of the element away from the wall/surface. Gradually go down over the product with your hand and smooth the element onto area (and press the bubbles out as you go). Once placed you ought to be able to shift any excess bubbles out by pressing/smoothing them out of the element. If the issuepersists (this would onlyoccur with the giant decals), you can punch a teeny (invisible to the eye) hole with a pin to press the air out.

In all, it is alwaysmost effective to test wall decals in an inconspicuous area. If the surface is uneven, operation could be criticallydiminished. Make sure surface is clean of dust and dirt or you may damage the adhesive and destroy the merchandise.
