Important Subjects to understand Before Shopping for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was issued on November 10th, 2009 and had among the most effective roll-outs I can even remember! I did not go out on the midnight release, but I journeyed out on release day and was there 3 hours before launch in the morning hours and there were currently 20+ people hanging there. Just after a half hour to forty-five minutes, I finally acquired my copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for the PlayStation 3 system and off I went to spend the duration of my week ranking up as rapidly as I possibly could.
So before I get started, I just want to express that I am a tremendous fan of Call of Duty 4, but I tried to keep this review from the opinion of another person who has not played any of the Call of Duty video games or another person who did not like the previous video games in the Call of Duty series. I would not think of myself a Call of Duty fan-boy, but I was resolved on acquiring Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 back when Call of Duty 4 was circulated.
As the majority of you definitely fully understand, I seldom actually buy video game titles that really don't possess some form of multi-player and ordinarily will only buy video game titles for the multi-player element, but I did genuinely engage in the whole single player campaign in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and I need to say that I did get pleasure from it even whilst playing through a second time. The story was powerful, it was somewhat baffling at times, but it tied in fairly well with exactly where the story left off in Call of Duty 4 and provided resolutions to countless unanswered thoughts.
The only real factor I surely did not like regarding the single player campaign in Modern Warfare 2 was that, for the most part, it absolutely was fairly easy on the hardest difficulty setting. Now, I did not say at all times, for the reason that that is undoubtedly not true, there were occasions in which I got extremely aggravated given that there were just so many enemies at a given time on just about every side and it made me very furious, but other than that, the single player campaign was enjoyable and also a refreshing new video game to play through.
So far as the controller layout goes, it's exactly the same as in Call of Duty 4 and it most definitely was perfect for that video game and is nevertheless completely flawless now. So far as I am concerned, the control scheme choices in COD4 and MW2 are the best layouts that have ever been placed together for any game. You'll find a couple of other layouts that you can pick from and you'll find that all of those control schemes are fantastic as well. Some of the optional layouts take a little while to get accustomed to, but after youre accustomed to the new control scheme, youre unstoppable!
Now comes the portion that you all have been waiting for! My opinions regarding the multiplayer part of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2! So after putting in over 360 hours of online performance, I think I can give a fairly good overview of what its all about. For the most part, everything is far better balanced. The maps are laid out suitably, and most of the perks and weapon attachments work very well. This being said, there are definitely negatives to go together with the positives. Now, dont get me completely wrong here, I am not going to go over every little thing that is ideal in this game, because it would take too long. Instead, I am going to try and go over some of the major weak spots inside the online part of this game, due to the fact that I imagine this would be far more helpful to possible buyers and/or previous owners.
Here we go, lets get started now on the negative elements. So far as I am concerned, 1 man army is the only real questionable perk. On its own, there is practically nothing wrong with it, and it can be tremendously important based on your state of affairs, but utilized within the hands, it may be utilized in an exceedingly demoralizing way that makes any individual choose to simply demolish their controller until the pieces stop soaring.
Next up, we have death streaks. To just be up front and honest, getting honored for dying, in my opinion, is just foolish. There should really be no need for this if the spawn function was well thought through, which, sadly, it most definitely isn't, but if youre making use of death streaks for anything but to fight the mediocre spawn process, then you've got no excuse, you are simply a noob.
On that note, I might as well touch over the spawn method seeing as I already opened that can of worms. Without jumping into a tremendous rant, essentially the spawn function runs very well in most circumstances, but on the occasion, it succeeds just about as efficiently as an Xbox 360 with the RROD. It does not assist you at all, it may result in you intensive annoyances, and it makes you wish to discard your console out the windowpane of a three story or higher structure. I am very sure that that's pretty much all I've to express about that, mainly because if youve played a suitable number of games and game types, you know exactly what I am blabbing about.
Just one other issue that runs just like that, would be the matchmaking structure. The game automatically chooses what room its going to put you in. This means, you can be placed inside a room that has 3 seconds left in your game and it's virtually unreal for you to win. This absolutely maddens me to no end. There is no easier strategy to tarnish my anticipation to just chill and engage in some Modern Warfare 2 then when I start it up and enter a lobby on a team that has been just getting raped. Its not fun in any respect, in fact, most of the time if this happens I will simply turn the PlayStation 3 system off right then and there and do some thing else.
So far as weapons go, they are pretty significantly well balanced now. In the start there was a tremendous argument regarding the model 1887s, but thanks to all of the whiners, they got nerfed and are now about just as effective as chucking a rock at another person. As far as the remainder of the weapons go, they are all incredibly powerful and in the event you really don't respond quickly, you'll die free of even knowing what transpired.
I think this concludes the micro rant on the multiplayer factor of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and if you need to have an understanding of any extra in relation to it, just purchase it, because it is most unquestionably well worth the money.
